An underground sewer pipe connects to a wye fitting branching into two upward-directed runs of underground sewer pipe. Each branch incorporates an one-eighth bend and terminates in a cleanout ferrule fitted with an approved plug just below the finished grade. A number three precast concrete box with a cast iron frame and cover sits above each cleanout for surface access.
