An overflow roof drain assembly penetrates through roof insulation and a steel deck, supported below by an underdeck clamp and receiver pan. Roofing membrane clamps into the drain bowl at the specified clamping ring. A sixteen gauge galvanized sheet metal hood is secured to the top of the strainer with edges extending two inches beyond the outside of the drain bowl. All sharp edges of the hood are smoothed to minimize rust staining from overflow drain discharge.
