A water hammer arrestor and quick-closure valve connect to a long run of plumbing piping to absorb hydraulic shock. The arrestor is sized according to Plumbing and Drainage Institute ratings and installed per manufacturer instructions. Location and sizing are determined per the plumbing plans.
