An expansion nut is set into the concrete floor slab to anchor a vertical threaded hanger rod. A standard clevis assembly secures the suspended pipe using double nuts at the top connection. Insulation surrounds the water pipe, with the top of the insulation notched to fit around the hanger hardware. This installation applies to domestic hot water, domestic hot recirculation, and building heating water pipes six inches and smaller in diameter, with gas pipes installed similarly without insulation.
