This assembly provides access to a cold water line containing a shut-off valve and a water hammer arrestor. The piping runs vertically through a one-foot by one-foot access door opening. The cold water line connects to the main supply above and continues to the fixture below. The water hammer arrestor is installed on the line to mitigate pressure surges.
