The suspended pipe is supported by a heavy-duty clevis hanger suspended from a threaded hanger rod. A support nut and locking nut secure the hanger yoke to the threaded rod. For insulated piping, a 16-gauge zinc-coated sheet steel saddle at least twelve inches long protects the vapor barrier insulation from crushing.
