Uninsulated copper lines and insulated pipe lines are supported on a horizontal metal channel strut suspended by vertical hanger rods with nuts. Pipe clamps with elastomer or nylon insulators secure uninsulated copper lines directly to the strut. Insulated pipe lines feature pipe clamps and require an insulation shield on lines three inches and larger.
