A 3-inch cold water main enters through the floor via a sealed floor sleeve, anchored by a thrust block at the base. The line extends upward through a 3-inch gate valve and a pressure gauge equipped with a typical one-quarter-inch ball valve. The assembly incorporates a reduced pressure principle backflow preventer designated as RPBP-1, supported by typical 2-inch pipe braces. An air gap fitting below the backflow preventer provides a full-size drain leading down to a floor sink.
