The Y2 roof hydrant is mounted through the roof assembly and supported by a well seal boot cover and hydrant support. The assembly is installed at a minimum of twenty-four inches above the finished roof and is equipped with a dual check backflow preventer. Under the roof deck, the unit is secured with an under-deck flange and mounting bolts. The lower section includes a one-inch National Pipe Thread water inlet connected to one-inch cold water piping and a one-eighth inch National Pipe Thread drain port connected to a half-inch drain line.
