An overflow roof drain assembly penetrates a steel deck topped with insulation and roofing. The roof drain features an exterior water dam and an extension piece supported by a receiver pan beneath the deck. An underdeck clamp secures the assembly to the structural steel deck. A sixteen-gauge galvanized sheet metal hood is secured to the top of the strainer and extends two inches beyond the outside of the drain bowl with smoothed sharp edges to minimize rust staining at the overflow discharge.
