The gas supply assembly originates from branch piping sized per plans, incorporating an inline shut-off valve and a vertical dirt leg. A medium pressure regulator is installed downstream of the shut-off valve. A ground joint union connects the rigid piping to a flexible gas piping connector, limited to a maximum length of eighteen inches. The flexible connector terminates at the appliance connection, sized to match the unit connection. An access vent is provided as required for the regulator, and the entire installation must be coordinated with 2018 International Energy Conservation Code Section 410.
