Natural gas enters the site underground as polyethylene piping and transitions above grade with cathodic protection as required. The line incorporates a main shutoff valve and a gas regulator that reduces utility pressure down to five pounds per square inch. A utility-provided gas meter measures consumption before routing one-and-a-half-inch piping into the bath house building. A tracer wire is installed alongside the underground polyethylene service per civil requirements.
