A two-inch domestic cold water pipe enters through a watertight sleeve in the foundation or floor assembly. The line routes upward and connects to a domestic water meter, followed by a reducer and a backflow preventer assembly. A drain line ties the backflow preventer discharge to a nearby floor drain.
