Pipes are secured using an offset pipe clamp fastened to either a metal wall support girt with self-tapping sheet metal screws or to a concrete masonry unit wall using two epoxy adhesive masonry anchors. The masonry anchors are required to have a minimum capacity of sixty-eight kilograms and a shear capacity of one hundred thirty-six kilograms, with manufacturer data submitted for approval. At the floor penetration, a pipe passes through a pipe sleeve with sealant at the finished floor level. Below the finished floor, the assembly includes a vapor barrier, an eight-inch layer of three-quarter-inch to one-inch gravel, and sanitary piping. All penetrations in the vapor barrier are sealed with wrapping tape.
