A gas supply line connects to gas-fired equipment through a ball valve, a sediment trap with a minimum 3-inch drop, and unions placed before and after a pressure-limiting gas pressure regulator. Capped tees are positioned at intervals along the run, maintaining a minimum distance of ten pipe diameters from fittings. The gas line maintains its full size to the air conditioning unit, and the regulator is installed in an upright position. A rubber grommet isolates the pipe penetration at the equipment connection.
