A twenty-four inch diameter drywell is constructed from six-inch grade rings with no mortar between the joints, terminating beneath a solid concrete cover set at least one foot below finished grade. The drywell is positioned a minimum of eight feet away from the building footing. A one-and-one-half-inch minimum approved drainage pipe connects the building drinking fountain to the drywell. The bottom of the drywell is filled with one-inch minimum gravel rock.
