A floor drain assembly is installed within a structural slab finished with a waterproof membrane and sloped floor topping. The drain body connects to a vertical waste pipe utilizing a trap primer connection adapter, specifying Zurn Z1023 for cast iron systems or Sioux Chief 635-P for PVC systems. A half-inch trap primer line continuously slopes from the finished floor trap primer to the trap primer connection. Pipe segments are joined using typical Husky couplings, continuing down to a drain trap below the slab.
