This subgrade concrete storm water ejector pit features internal dimensions of five feet long, five feet wide, and six feet deep with an exterior wall configuration. A submersible pump sits on the concrete floor, connected to a vertical discharge pipe supported by a guide rail bracket anchored near the top of the pit. The pit cover consists of a three-eighths-inch galvanized steel diamond plate walking surface supported by two-inch by two-inch by one-quarter-inch galvanized steel angles typically fastened to the concrete. Float switches or sensor elevations are mounted along the interior wall to control high level alarms, lag pump on, lead pump on, and all pumps off functions, positioned relative to the twenty-four-inch finished floor to inlet invert dimension.
