A Class 53 ductile iron pipe passes through a wall core or sleeve, providing a two-inch annular clearance filled with flexible mastic. The assembly connects to the fire protection system using a flange by groove spool piece secured with a flex coupling. Restraint is provided on one side by a riser clamp, Megalug, or equivalent method, and on the other by all-thread rods anchored through the wall.
