The semi-instantaneous domestic water heater assembly rests on a concrete housekeeping pad over the finished floor and connects to domestic cold water supply, domestic hot water at 130 degrees Fahrenheit, and domestic hot water return lines. Interconnecting piping between the storage tank and heat exchangers is provided by the water heater package manufacturer. A thermal expansion tank with a minimum tank volume of 25 gallons and minimum acceptance volume of 15 gallons ties into the system, based on a Wessels TTA-60 or approved equal. Discharge lines route full-size to a nearby floor drain, with floor drain type and location verified per floor plans.
