About this detail

The water supply line originates from a half-inch pipe routed down within the wall, terminating at a quarter-turn angle stop with an escutcheon. A Watts model SD-3 backflow preventer, compliant with ASSE 1022, is installed downstream for carbonated beverage dispensers, coffee, tea, juice, and cappuccino machines. A half-inch pet cock pipe is provided for drainage to a receptor. A water filter, supplied by the food service equipment contractor, is installed in-line with unions on both sides to facilitate maintenance. Sufficient clearance is maintained below the filter assembly to allow for cartridge removal.
