A subsurface concrete storm water ejector pit measuring five feet wide by two feet six inches deep is located adjacent to an exterior wall and parking area. A submersible sump pump sits at the concrete pit floor beneath a three-eighths-inch galvanized steel diamond plate walking surface supported by two-by-two-by-one-quarter-inch galvanized steel angles. The concrete pit wall houses four control floats and level switches at specified vertical intervals, including connections for all pumps off, lead pump on, lag pump on, and high level alarm.
