A plumbing vent penetrates the roof deck with a watertight roof jack and a vent cap extending twenty-four inches minimum above the roof surface. A vent increaser sized two sizes larger than the vent connects below the deck. One-inch fiberglass insulation with a vapor barrier extends four feet below the roof deck along the pipe, and the roof vapor retarder is sealed to the pipe.
