A 1/2-inch primer tube connects to a P-trap assembly via a slip joint nut and seal, with its invert located 1/8 inch above the static water level to enable overflow into the primer tube when a temporary head of water is created. The assembly includes a ground joint connection, a wall tube and escutcheon, and a female National Pipe Thread outlet. The waste line is 1-1/2 inches, and the recommended rough-in spaces the waste and primer tube with specific vertical and horizontal dimensions relative to the finished wall.
