A half-inch cold water trap primer supply connects to a copper tee fitting on the main branch line within the wall. The trap primer valve is mounted vertically above the trap distribution unit, enclosed within a wall access panel whose size and location are confirmed in the field. Three-eighths-inch minimum annealed copper tubing extends from the distribution unit down to the floor drain trap primer connection. The trap primer valve must be mounted a minimum of twelve inches above the finished floor for every twenty feet of primer pipe.
