A six-inch Class D trench drain grate is set flush into a concrete floor over a channel trench drain assembly. Expansion joints separate the drain body from the surrounding concrete slab, which is reinforced with number four rebar. The trench drain channel is suspended by number three or number four rebar stakes embedded in a crushed stone subbase and underlying soil, with length varying per the drain slope.
