A 0.75-inch cold water line emerges from the wall cavity through a quarter-turn stop valve to supply the plumbing fixtures. The line splits to route 0.5-inch cold water directly to the lavatory connection and 0.75-inch cold water to the point-of-use water heater. The water heater then supplies 0.5-inch hot water to each lavatory.
