A gas pressure regulator assembly reduces incoming medium pressure from 5 pounds per square inch to an 8-inch water column while venting to the atmosphere. A shut-off valve is positioned as close as possible to the tee, accompanied by typical unions and pipe increasers or reducers as required. Two tees feature 1/2-inch ball valves with plugged threaded ends for utility company pressure testing ports. Dual test gauges measure pressures in both pounds and inches, with specific clearance lengths maintained at five pipe diameters typical.
