A master mixing valve receives a two-inch domestic hot water supply at 140 degrees Fahrenheit from the water heaters alongside a two-inch cold water supply line. The assembly incorporates check valves, strainers, unions, and thermometers on the distribution and return piping. A one-inch domestic hot water return line connects back to the water heaters, with the domestic hot water return connection location varying per the manufacturer. A reduced pressure backflow preventer and a hot water return pump controlled by integral controls complete the piping schematic.
