The cold water supply pipe extends up through the roof deck to a hose bibb positioned eighteen inches above the finished roof surface. A vacuum breaker is attached to the hose bibb outlet. The pipe penetrates the roof through a pitch pocket sealed with a mop-in-place cap sheet. The vertical pipe must be secured to the structural beam at two locations for rigidity. Architectural details 5/A9.10 and 30/A9.10 govern the specific roof penetration conditions.
