A wall-mounted backflow preventer assembly is positioned above the finish floor with specified mounting heights. The domestic cold water inlet features a ball valve or butterfly valve depending on pipe size, followed by a Y-strainer with a valve and plug. The backflow preventer is secured to the wall using strut channels and pipe clamps. Piping runs maintain a nominal height of forty-eight inches above the finish floor with a maximum of sixty inches, while bottom clearances maintain twelve inches above the finish floor.
