The assembly consists of a concrete sump pit with a minimum inside dimension of twenty-four by twenty-four by thirty inches and six-inch thick walls typical on four sides. A dewatering pump with a pump switch is housed inside the pit, connected to an electrical receptacle and a pump discharge pipe. The interior surfaces are coated with a vapor control coating and a waterproof flooring seal, backed by an exterior waterproof membrane. Epoxy dowels tie the sump pit structure into the surrounding concrete slab.
