A concrete footing bears on a compacted sub-grade with size and reinforcing sized per plan. A seven-inch thick concrete slab is reinforced with number four bars at eighteen inches on center each way, centered in the slab. Number four hook dowels are placed at eighteen inches on center along all four sides of the footing.
