An eggcrate grille or diffuser connects to a sheet metal collar and a sheet metal or ductboard plenum via flexible duct with clamps. In an acoustical ceiling tile system, the assembly attaches directly to the T-bar grid provided by the general contractor. In a gypsum wallboard ceiling system, "C" channel framing is required on all four sides by the general contractor, with sheet metal angles on two sides secured by fasteners.
