The expansion tank assembly incorporates an air charging valve at the top and a primary system connection with a location variable based on tank size. A lock-shield valve on the main system line requires tagging to remain open except during maintenance. A pressure gauge connects to the riser, and a branch line pipes to a drain for pressure relief during air charge verification.
