The side elevation and section views show a single-blade volume damper installed within insulated ductwork. A one-half-inch round rod pin extends across the damper, supported by inside and outside end bearings with a one-eighth-inch clearance maintained all around. The damper blade is stiffened as required and operated via a handle with a locking quadrant. Exterior duct insulation is wrapped around an insulation stand-off, which is deleted on uninsulated ductwork per project notes.
