An upblast roof exhaust fan with a direct drive motor and control dial for balancing mounts atop a pre-fabricated factory curb secured to minimum four-inch nominal thick wood timber framing. Roofing material transitions up the curb with a cant strip and flashing. A backdraft damper installs within the roof opening below the fan unit.
