An acoustic roof curb section with a duct collar integrates sound-attenuating construction into roof-mounted mechanical equipment. The assembly features a structural roof curb anchored by wood nailers at the roof line and lined with two layers of five-eighths inch gypsum board and one inch thick insulation. Channel supports carry one-half inch thick polyurethane acoustic foam, with all gaps sealed to prevent air leakage. Flexible connections tie the unit into new supply and return air ducts installed by the contractor.
