A transfer air duct penetrates a partition wall while maintaining high clearance within the structural and ceiling space. The duct features a fiberglass duct liner on the interior surfaces for acoustical absorption. All joints and penetrations at the wall are fully sealed around the perimeter. The duct ends are oriented open up in the structural space to maximize vertical clearance.
