The snowmelt slab assembly is installed over a base material provided by the general contractor. A two-inch high-density R-10 insulation layer is placed over the base material and protected with edge insulation. Radiant tubing runs across the insulation and is secured in place using foam staples. A concrete slab is poured over the tubing and insulation assembly by the general contractor.
