A ceiling diffuser in a hard lid gypsum board ceiling connects to a flexible duct run. An insulated sheet metal elbow connects to the round neck of the diffuser using sheet metal screws and mastic, while sectorizing baffles are provided within the neck for proper throws as required. Eighteen gauge wire seismic restraints are secured to opposite corners of the assembly and anchored to the ceiling support structure. The flexible duct is limited to a maximum five foot length and is secured with a panduit fastener and duct strap.
