An upblast grease exhaust fan mounts on a twenty inch tall vented and hinged curb with grease removal ports, positioned over a roof duct penetrating a metal insulated roof with TPO membrane. A one-half by two-inch neoprene pad runs all around beneath the fan base. A backdraft damper installs inside the duct with a three-inch minimum clearance. The exhaust fan sits a minimum of forty inches above the roof surface, requiring coordination with structural and architectural trades for bracing.
