A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to the weak axis of a steel column with typical stiffener plates on the near side and far side as required by the brace manufacturer. A beam frames into the column with a bolted flange or web connection referenced to the S600 series sheets. Typical weld symbols specify weld sizes for the brace connection plates and column stiffeners around the work point intersection.
