This assembly connects a surface-mounted ceiling grille to a flexible duct through a sheet metal box matching the grille size. A spin-in fitting attaches the flexible duct, which is limited to a five-foot maximum length per specification. A filter is included where required above the grille. The ceiling system is coordinated per architectural plans, maintaining a nine-inch minimum height which increases to the duct size plus three inches when a side duct connection is used.
