An insulated flexible duct connects a main galvanized sheet metal duct to a surface-mounted supply air diffuser set in a T-bar ceiling. The flexible duct is secured with a clamp or draw band positioned behind the roll bead over a peeled-back jacket and insulation liner, with duct sealant applied to the joint. The flexible duct length is restricted to a maximum of five feet or three duct diameters and supported by overhead construction using duct straps. Sheet metal screws secure the diffuser to the duct drop.
