Flexible duct connection linking the fan housing to the main ductwork via a specified flexible material sleeve. The sleeve is secured at each end with a 1-inch by 1/8-inch draw band and band iron, fastened with sheet metal screws spaced 12 inches on center and rivets spaced 4 inches on center. The fan side utilizes a flanged connection with bolts on 4-inch centers, washers, and a 5/16-inch flange. The installation maintains a minimum of 1-1/2 inches to a maximum of 3 inches installed, with 6 inches nominal when the material is taut.
