Steel cables connect to building structures using various hardware options depending on the substrate. A double-sided beam clamp attaches steel cable assemblies to steel beams or joists when drilling or welding is prohibited. Alternatively, a steel beam or joist accepts an ASTM A-307 bolt or weld stud for direct cable attachment using URC clips and cable loops or stake eye assemblies. Concrete structures anchor steel cables using concrete expansion anchors. Bar joists feature a looped connection around the top chord at a panel point with a maximum forty-five-degree angle.
