A manufacturer-supplied gravity relief hood and backdraft damper assembly is mounted atop a roof curb set and leveled by the general contractor. The curb incorporates a nailer strip and is ordered to extend approximately 8 inches above the finished roof surface. Roofing materials are installed around the curb as required by the general contractor to tie into the roof assembly.
