Thermostats must be located no more than forty-eight inches above the finished floor to the centerline for standard installations. When mounted over a counter or obstruction, the maximum height to the top of the thermostat is forty-six inches with a maximum reach depth of twenty-four inches. The counter height is limited to thirty-four inches maximum.
