The freezeless wall hydrant features an integrated vacuum breaker and is positioned twenty-four inches above the finished floor or grade. The three-quarter-inch cold water or non-potable raw water supply pipe routes through the building insulation, held on the interior face to prevent freezing. Insulation thickness is maintained wherever possible, compressing only as needed around the hydrant extension. Extension depth is selected to match the exterior wall thickness. An accessible ball valve is installed to shut off the hose bibb exclusively, and the entire pipe network remains within the insulated space.
